GODDAMN. So far, everything I’ve heard that has the words Mania Music Group attached to it has been straight-up STUPID, and I mean that in the best way possible. The latest track, “Unheard”, continues that trend by bringing hip-hop heads a headphone-worthy neck-breaker. DJ Blak Majik scratches Gza & Jeru the Damaja samples between E Major & Kane Mayfield’s hard-hitting verses. Have a listen:

Drake – “Fear” Single

I held tight to my Drake hate as I loaded this song up for the first time. I figured I was in for another Auto Tune-laced track from America’s favorite Canadian rapper named Aubrey, and judging from the title, I imagined lyrics rife with references about haters. Maybe a bouncy track about how he doesn’t fear anything or how the game needs to fear him.

…I got none of that, and was pleasantly surprised. Have a listen.

Baltimore STAND UP! Add Mania Music Group to the list of dope hip-hop from the DMV. Found this joint via my man DanjaMania on Twitter. The beat is simple but goes hard, and the wordplay matches up perfectly. I’ll definitely be checking for more from these cats in the future.

“Ehhhh” about sums up how I feel about this one. Club banger for sure, but I thought that “D.O.A.” was marking the entry of a tougher Hov. Oh, and my Drake hate prevents me from liking this. Hit me back in 5 years & maybe I’ll have an appreciation for it. (Props to Mikey for the 1st listen & 2dopeboyz for the link).

Ok ok I’m hella late on this, but check it out… Wiz Khalifa takes the official “rap song made for women, 2009″ and spins it around to talk about two famous (well, one famous, one almost famous) pop stars who recently had nekkid photos “leaked” onto the internet. At the same time he makes a Drake song listenable.
